Where it goes
Four ways your support makes a difference.
FSC has no paid staff and no overhead. Every dollar is allocated directly to one of these four programs.

01
Get Students Outside
The most direct use of your support: subsidizing trip costs so that financial barriers never keep a student from their first hiking experience. We cover permit fees, gas, campsite costs, and food for members who need assistance.

02 - Community Leader Support
Break Down Financial Barriers
Gear is expensive. A tent, sleeping bag, and pack can run $500 or more. Our shared gear library ensures any FSC member — regardless of income — has access to quality equipment. Your support expands and maintains that library.

03 - Wilderness First aid
Train Our Leaders
Every FSC trip is led by a trained student. Wilderness First Aid certification costs $350–$600 per person. Your support funds scholarships so aspiring leaders can get certified and safely take members into the backcountry.

04 - Reducing financial barriers
Build Community & Grow
FSC started at one school. It now has two branches and students at other universities asking how to start their own. Your support funds the seed capital, legal setup, and mentorship pipeline that lets a new FSC branch launch successfully.

How You Can Help
Gear
01
Resources to Break Down Physical Gear Barriers. Field Studies Communities go Backpacking, Skiing, Camping, Climbing, Surfing. These sports are great ways to build community and enjoy the outdoors. However, they require lots of gear that is often very expensive. Our members are students, and are often unable to provide themselves with this gear.
Thats where you can come in! Providing donations of outdoor gear helps grow community gear sheds that make impactful differences in peoples lives, and breaks down barriers to them discovering the great outdoors.
Organizational Resources
02
Field studies hosts our own self-made club organization software, as well many subscriptions to various software resources. Providing access to organizational softwares and hosting resources helps us provide our communities with the help they need to get people outside.
Third Point
03
This is copy for the third point if we need a third point. This is copy for the third point if we need a third point. This is copy for the third point if we need a third point.

Become a Partner Organization
If your brand or organization believes in getting young people outside, we'd love to talk. Partnerships can take many forms — gear donations, trip sponsorships, scholarship funding, or long-term organizational support.
We'll make sure your partnership reaches the right audience: students who care deeply about the outdoors, community, and building a lifelong relationship with wild places.
