FIELD STUDIES COLLECTIVE
EST 2021
Getting students outside, together.
Field Studies Collective exists to connect students with the natural world through shared outdoor experience. We believe that time outside — whether a weekend backpack or a day hike to the coast — builds the kind of community that lasts a lifetime. No experience necessary. Just show up.

How it Started
Field Field Studies Collective was founded in 2019 by Ethan and Sam, two Cal Poly SLO students who kept running into the same problem: they wanted to get outside, but doing it alone wasn't the point. They wanted community — people who'd wake up at 5am to catch a sunrise, and people who'd never done that before and needed a gentle push.
